VW 2015 Golf TDI SportWagen Hitch Wiring.

I have just completed this install on my 2015.  I used the video and noted many people looking for your wiring diagrams.  I took pictures and am happy to share them with you so you can post them with your link.  FYI, our trailer wiring took some thought as the brake lights and turn signals are the same bulb filament in the Golf.  We found online how to through the computer separate the turn signal from the brake light via the VCDS interface and all is as it should be.  Get a trailer signal box with Ground, Brake, Running, Turn L, Turn R inputs.  On the drivers side rear directly above the removable panel you can find the left turn signal and the upper brake light.  On the passenger side I had to remove more plastic to find the ground is directly on the back of the wheel well.  The right turn and running lights are at the top of the area EXACTLY opposite the left turn and upper brake light.  The power for the signal box, I tapped the 12V 30amp line going to the 110v inverter.  I never use the trailer and the inverter at the same time. :)

Same hitch as U-Haul, but $40 cheaper on Amazon.  Came with mounting hardware.  See this Youtube for installation.  I think he places the washers out of order, be sure the split washer is next to the bolt head.  The 3 conical washers go on the 3 bolts closest to the receiver.
Driver side wiring, see the tool kit strap for orientation.  The red dot is the turn signal, the blue is the upper brake light.  The zip tied and cloth wrapped wires going down on the left are passing to the Passenger side of the car via the back of the spare tire wheel well.

The ground lug can be see at the back center of the picture in the back of the wheel well.  The little black loop of wire just above the yellow is the rear collision sensor wire going out of the car and back to the center of the bumper that we followed around with our wires.  The left side is the 12v and 110v outlets.  Note the 12 outlet is screwed in place from the back with the large plastic nut.  Don't take the screw out of the inside of it... :)

The 12Vdc-110Vac inverter is in the lower right of the image.  The yellow block in the center of the picture is the power tap for the trailer from the inverter incoming power.  It is a 30 amp fused line.

You are looking in from the back right toward the front.  The fuel access door is in the very top of the picture.  The new wires from the drivers side are coming up the near vertical edge and going under the horizontal plate to the trailer electrical box which is on the outside of the plate.  The white wire is coming from the trailer box down to the ground on the back of the wheel well.

You are looking down at the right rear, note the tie-down for orientation.  There is a plugged hole under the black tape.  We passed the wires out of the car via the plug and caulked the plug from underneath.  The wires are in loom and follow the same path as the crash sensor wire through the frame and around to the hitch.  We glued a magnet to the hitch end of the wire and it is on the hitch, very easy to reach as we put the chains on.  We set the length so even if it falls, it will not touch the ground.
